Friends of The Ridgeway School
May I take this opportunity to introduce you to the Friends of the Ridgeway School. We are a group of parents who meet regularly to support each other, share ideas, organise events and support the school.
We meet monthly, either for coffee or lunch at school or in the evening at a local pub. Throughout the year you will meet us at various events including the Christmas Fayre, school quiz night and family day. We are always looking for help and new ideas. We have children of all ages and needs, they are all unique! One thing we share is that we are here in the Ridgeway School, where our children are able to learn at their own pace. The friends cover the cost of the Christmas panto, a Christmas present for every child and a Summer trip out for each class. We have also recently purchased some musical equipment for the school which has now been installed into the playground. Every student in the school benefits from our fundraising and your contribution is very important. It can take time to settle into a new school, but we would love to welcome you to our meetings, coffee or lunches. Please come along, or contact the office or website for more details. Thank you and hope to meet you soon,
Best wishes, Ann-Marie Funk, Vice-Chair

A Guide To Transition to Post 19 Services
15.Jun.2018 – Here is a useful guide to transition to Post 19 services for parents to download.
Surrey Hospitals – Additional Patient Needs Flagging Form;
26/04/18 – Parents/carers can complete and return this form to their local hospital and then their name should be ‘flagged’ on the hospital computer as someone who may need additional support, shorter waiting times, help from the LD liaison nurse, etc. Can’t always be guaranteed but it’s a start and they can also refer to it if making appointments to be seen at the hospital.
